TIG (Testing Interest Group)

The Testing Interest Group (TIG) is a special interest group for the software testing profession founded by Test and Data Services with the support of various sponsoring companies.  The first event on 31 May 2007 in Cape Town was attended by more than 50 delegates from various companies.

What is TIG?

TIG aims to promote the interest and best practices for the Software Testing Profession in South Africa within a friendly environment.  TIG Events are in the form of 2-hour networking evenings, where a wide range of software testing topics will be discussed.  Topics include various software testing disciplines, such as Manual, Automation, Performance, Security, Usability and Web Testing.  Anyone interested in software testing can attend.

TIG Events Offer:

1. Specialist guest speaker presentation followed by questions and answers.
2. Summarized handouts on the topic (if applicable).
3. Peer networking opportunity for software testing professionals from various companies.
4. Latest news and information on software testing training and standards.
5. The latest and back-copies of Test Focus magazine.
6. Opportunity to ask questions of Test Consultants.
7. Career progression advice.
