Test Analysts (TA)

Candidates applying for this position needs to have at least 14 to 22 months experience as a Junior Test Analyst.

Responsibilities:
Use various test techniques to create test specifications
Manage test specifications
Use of Test Management and Defect Tracking tools
Assist with test estimation
Produce Test Reports (Status and Quality)
Supervise a test team
Knowledge of test process improvement
Use the various test types as appropriate

Required skills:
Advanced practical testing training
Can/has a good programming, test automation, and computer architecture understanding
Can/has used intermediate-level test plans
Can/has designed test cases
Can/has created test procedures
Can/has created or designed a controlled system testing environment
Can/has specified tests using structured techniques learned to date
Can/has written test summary reports
Can/has done static testing based on rules and/or checklists

Senior Test Analysts (STA)

Candidates applying for this position need to have at least 24 to 48 months experience in a Test Analyst role.  

Responsibilities:
Use and manage the various test techniques
Manage the test processes, test documentation, test levels and automation tools
Manage the test reporting, test estimation and test team management
Test monitoring and control, test strategy and test planning
Knowledge of test process improvement
Manage and uses the various test types

Required skills:
ISEB Test Practitioner Certificate in Software Testing or ISTQB Advanced Level Certificate (when available)
Can/has coached teams in use of test design techniques
Can/has managed team and task outcomes
Can/has facilitated technical reviews and walkthroughs
Can/has created test plans
Can/has calculated test effort for given testing tasks (planning, design, execution, and reporting using detailed work breakdown structures)

Test Managers (TM)

Candidates applying for this position has need to have at least 48 months experience in the software testing field.

Responsibilities:
Manages and uses the various test techniques
Manages the test planning process and test plan documentation
Manages the system integration testing and operational testing levels
Manages the various automation tools
Manages test monitoring and control, test standards, test strategy, test planning, test policies, defect tracking/management and test process improvement
Manages the various test types
Manages test budgeting

Required skills:
Can/has used test monitoring and control - for project(s)
Can/has used test standards - for project(s)
Can/has used test strategy - for project(s)
Can/has used test planning - for project(s)
Can/has used test personnel management - for project(s)
Can/has implemented test process improvement - for project(s)
Can/has implemented test policy - for client(s)
Is certified or objectively recognised in management-related subjects; including project management basics, negotiation skills, budgeting, and finance for non-financial managers
Can/has successfully managed resources and outcomes of at least two projects

Test Automation Specialist (TAS) Cartoon Image PTS

Candidates for this position need to have a minimum two years experience in implementing test automated execution for at least one test automated execution tool with preferably a minimum of one year manual software testing experience. They need to have basic knowledge of system architecture design and server orientated architecture as well as the ability to automate testing effort from manual test cases and regression test suites. Candidates have to be experienced in working in a team environment with manual and/or automation testing members as well as work independently with minimal supervision. They need to understand, design and implement basic to intermediate automation frameworks, namely Linear, Test Modularity and Data-Driven Frameworks. Intermediate skills and experience level of code design are important as well as basic knowledge of SQL.

Security Test Specialist (STS)

Candidates applying for this position need to have a minimum 2 years or more experience in implementing security testing. They need to understand and be trained in the different methods of security testing, namely black box, white box and grey box. Candidates should have knowledge and experience in executing the different methods of security tests using a combination of operating system tools or a commercial security testing tool. They must have the ability to work independently under minimal supervision and have intermediate skill and experience level in code design and networks. Basic operational skills and experience in the different types of network operating systems is a prerequisite.

Performance Test Specialist (PTS)Cartoon Image for TAS

Candidates applying for this position need to have a minimum of 2 years or more experience in implementing performance test execution in at least one performance test tool. Basic knowledge of system architecture design and service orientated architecture is a prerequisite. They need to have the ability to identify the physical and logical architecture of the system under test, the ability to develop automated performance test scripts in at least one performance test tool and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Candidates must understand, design and implement performance load, stress and scalability testing. Intermediate skill and experience level in code design and networks and basic knowledge of SQL is important. They also need to understand the different memory utilisation hierarchical models for operating systems.
