ISEB Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing

Course Description

This three day course follows on from the ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing course and together with the ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Management and ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Test Analysis courses forms the higher level ISEB qualification.

The course contains exercises, practice exams and learning aids designed to cover all areas of the syllabus to assist the delegate in understanding and applying the concepts and techniques.

Course Objectives

To provide an understanding of software testing that goes beyond the Foundation level. It provides both test managers and test analysts with a level of knowledge that enables them to analyse practical situations and apply good practical solutions.

There are three main objectives:

  1. to provide a basis for those wishing to progress to the ISEB Software Testing Practitioner level in either or both Test Management and/or Test Analysis;
  2. to ensure that candidates for either of the higher qualifications have a broad understanding of the other specialisation;
  3. to cover specific activities that both specialisations should understand, such as perform reviews, identify product risks, estimate and monitor testing, select test techniques and gain an understanding of test coverage.

The Intermediate course covers Learning Objectives up to the Knowledge 4 level (analysis).

Who will benefit

This 3-day course is appropriate for Testers, Test Team Leaders, Developers, Development Managers, Business Analysts, and anyone wishing to gain the ISEB Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing.
